CATS: CRASH ARENA TURBO STARS
Cats have infiltrated every medium of media and there's no shortage of cat games as shown in CATS: CRASH ARENA TURBO STARS. This is a world inhabited by anthropomorphic cats that have evolved similar to humans developing a lot of the same technology. However, one area that they've developed even more is that of large machines built to fight. They're more akin to vehicles than to mechs, but they are still machines clashing against each other. As the nephew of an experienced competitor, you're being thrown into the ring as both a builder and a pilot as you aim for the championship.
About CATS: CRASH ARENA TURBO STARS
Many games incorporate auto elements to make things more casual or easier to manage. This is one of those games but the auto elements are still quite entertaining to watch. You're not the pilot, but rather the engineer who needs to give their pilot the best fighting chances possible to come out on top. The machines are indeed outfitted with emergency procedures to protect the driver, but you'll still want to keep them out of danger. The machines require thought and tact to be efficient, effective, and dominating.
How to Play
CATS: CRASH ARENA TURBO STARS is a 2D auto-battler about building and piloting a battle machine vehicle using the mouse. When you're in the hub area, you can use the cursor to navigate the UI and select your options. You can click the Left Mouse Button to choose and interact with options and objects while holding and dragging can be used on parts to build your machine. The goal is to become the champion by beating the other opponents in the professional circuit.
You start with a basic vehicle to get a feel for the combat. When fights start, your pilot will drive the vehicle toward the opponent and your weapons will fire automatically. Yours and the opponent's health is shown at the top of the screen. The first to drop to zero loses, but if the fight starts to drag on, large saws will appear from both sides and start closing in. On contact, the machine will be instantly destroyed.
When it comes to building your vehicle, you have several key parts: The body, the wheels, and the attachments. The body determines the shape and size of your vehicle which can affect health, balance, and slots. The wheels determine how quickly and well your vehicle moves as well as its stability. The attachments determine what kind of options your vehicle has including melee and ranged weapons or tools with varying effects. The metal nuts on the vehicle body show how many attachments you put on it.
To get more parts, you can participate in ranked or quick matches. With enough wins, you'll be rewarded with basic wooden crates or more valuable metal crates (both taking time to open). You can also bet on separate fights, waging parts that you have in hopes of winning new ones. If you've earned enough gems, you can spend them on crates in the shop at the top of the hub screen. To upgrade your rewards and other elements, you can spend coins in the shop indicated by the cat icon at the top right corner of the screen.
Tips and Tricks
This is a game where you don't always know what you'll be up against meaning that you're aiming to build a balanced vehicle. Ideally, you'll want a heavy vehicle that is difficult to push back or knock you off balance. The more damage you can do before clashing with the opponent will help ensure your victory.
